Why should I play trivia.com?
1. For fun. But why play a mindless game on your phone when you can play Trivia and get smarter?
2. To prove you’re brainier than your mates. Every player is ranked against one another.
3. To prove you’re the best Trivia player on the planet. This is trivia.com and you can become the World Trivia Champion. You just have to answer the questions. And get them right.
How does it work?
There are four stages - EASY, MEDIUM, HARD and SUPER HARD.
To move from EASY to MEDIUM you must graduate through 20 EASY levels. To pass through an EASY level you must correctly answer 5 out of 10 questions. If you get less than 5 correct you get zero points.
To move from MEDIUM to HARD you must graduate through 20 MEDIUM levels. To pass through a MEDIUM level you must correctly answer 6 out of 10 questions. If you get less than 6 correct you get zero points.
To move from HARD to SUPER HARD you must graduate through 20 HARD levels. To pass through a HARD level you must correctly answer 7 out of 10 questions. If you get less than 7 you get zero points.
To pass through a SUPER HARD level you must answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly. If you answer less than 8 correctly you get zero points. There are an infinite number of SUPER HARD levels.
Does it cost anything to register on trivia.com?
No, it is completely free to play.
How do I get points to improve my World Trivia Ranking?
Each correct answer in the EASY, MEDIUM and HARD stages can win a maximum of 200 points, but the number of winnable points decreases the longer it takes to answer the questions. There is a possible points total of 40,000 for each stage.
When you reach the SUPER HARD stage (well done, BTW) each question is worth a maximum 400 points. The possible SUPER HARD points total is infinite!
Don’t forget, if you don’t answer the minimum number of questions correct on any level - EASY, MEDIUM, HARD and SUPER HARD - you get zero points to add to your ranking total.
What happens if I take a break and come back to Trivia the next day (or week, or month..)?
You will return to the exact stage/level you left off last time you payed - and you can keep totting up the points.
Will I be on the Trivia Scoreboard if I only play a couple of games?
Every player goes on the Scoreboard, even if you only pass one level (but you’ll be near the bottom!)
Can I just answer questions from my favorite category?
No, this is the World Trivia Championships, not a geography test or a celebrity quiz. The questions come out randomly from our trivia.com questions vault. You need to know it all!
What’s in it for me?
You can become the World Trivia Champion. And if somebody gets ahead of you on the scoreboard you can keep playing until you get back on top. Brag about it. Put it on your resume.
Do the Games add points to my Trivia score?
No, they’re just for fun. Pure and simple. Give your brain a break and then come back rested to kick some more ass on Trivia.
Is there a penalty if I get too many wrong answers?
Unfortunately yes. In Trivia, as in life, there are lots of ups and downs. If you fail to pass 5 quizzes in a row on any stage - EASY, MEDIUM, HARD, SUPER HARD - you will drop back one level. But don’t worry, you can soon start climbing the rankings again.
